- What Lessons Can We Learn From the Trayvon Martin Case?
A rush to judgment?.. If you care to hear my opinion on this case and all the ridiculous things surrounding it and dividing America, Please read all of this… The Trayvon case is still being examined, and it is argued that Trayvon came back around to Zimmerman and said, "Do you have a problem?" Zimmerman: "No." Martin: "Well you do now." ... and that's when Trayvon assaulted Zimmerman and started banging his head into the concrete. The Powder burns on Trayvon's "HOODY" is a clear indicator that there was a struggle for Zimmerman's weapon. BTW, if I hear hoody one more time I'm going to puke. Of course, ABC insinuates at the end of the report that the blame is on Zimmerman for being there. Really?...
Zimmerman was doing what neighborhood watch people do; looking into and reporting a person walking off the main thorough-fair behind people's houses after several crimes have been reported. So they're saying if Zimmerman wasn't there he wouldn't have been assaulted... Say what?? So now it's a crime to be in close enough proximity to track and report the whereabouts of a suspicious looking person in a gated community that’s had several reports of robbery?
Is it a crime to be in the vicinity of a violent criminal? Is it the act of a vigilantly, to shoot someone in SELF-DEFENSE when a violent punk is banging your head into the concrete? I'd be interested to see how the court of public opinion and Al Sharpton plays this out, now that the FACTS have come to surface proving that HE and the NBPP (New Black Panther Party) have formed their lynch mobs and called, more or less, for Zimmerman's head on a stick.
Does anyone with a rational mind think that this AMERICAN, of “HISPANIC decent” was ever itching to shoot a black guy that day or any day? This is a Catholic guy, who has worked with re-start programs to help reform kids in a less-fortunate nearby ethnic community. Is he a saint? No... Are you?... Am I?... Where is all the moral outrage for all the other belligerent RACE related, and BLACK on BLACK crimes that make this INCIDENT look like a joke in comparison?
What about that little “blip” in the news about that poor WHITE kid who was doused by gasoline and set on fire by a GROUP of BLACKS. Should WHITE folks act like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson and form a WHITE mob of people demanding that “THEIR” jury of public opinion be placed upon that group of BLACKS hoodlums who committed that heinous act? Is that also a RACE crime?... That is not our job to decide that, as far as any rulings. I challenge to say that that particular incident, along with ALL others, should be investigated by the AUTHORITIES and that the specific information gathered on those cases be made public AFTER the AUTHORITIES and the COURTS have done what WE PAY THEM TO DO.
To take-up banners and blankly incite racial division is WRONG-WRONG-WRONG!! And I don't give a damn who you are, or what color your skin is! Even MLK would be ashamed and disapprove of his “fallen” colleague, Rev. Jesse Jackson, for the way he wields his influence using the Democratic-induced, hypnotic, and perpetual state of victim-hood, in his effort to be a puppet to his agenda-driven social-engineering handlers. Americans should weary of anything with "social" in the title. This is clearly a Saul Allinsky, Noam Chomsky type of linguistic tactic, engineered to influence and snare the unassuming minds of complacent America.
I'm also fed up with the language of division. I'm not Italian-American, I'm WHITE. My many VALUED and WONDERFUL friends of many colors, who are BLACK, BROWN, and YELLOW, are NOT African-Americans, Hispanic-Americans, Asian-Americans... They are AMERICAN!! Nothing more, and “damn-sure” nothing less, even though many folks chooses the course of even being ANTI-American with their ideology. Unfortunately, unless they renounce citizenship, they are still Americans even then because of freedom of speech.
I recommend to individual blacks and my other friends of color, who have fallen victim to racial hate and division, that they make the decision to do what all the rest of America still actively does in cases like this; That is to decide, solely for yourself, regardless of race, creed, or ideology, to LEAD YOURSELF.
I would be appalled if ANYONE were to claim to be my WHITE leader. In fact, I’d tell that person to got to hell and that he doesn’t represent ME at all. Blacks should feel the same in my unsolicited opinion. That is, if they believe in American values, TRUE independence and the search for truth.
Looking for a leader? Look in the mirror. Ask and answer your own questions by researching YOUR OWN information. Do yourself a favor; question with boldness, with no loyalty to anyone but your GOOD values that you would wish on ANYONE in America, regardless of skin color or financial status. Seek NOT information to prove ANY agenda, or in loyalty to those you’ve listened to, that have failed you so far.
As much as people think that I'm in the tank for Conservatism, What I’ve described above is precisely how I seek my answers. Has the so called BLACK leadership encouraged independence and empowered people to do for themselves to improve their lives in this free society, or have they continued to encourage “THEIR” people (note the ownership they express of this ethnic group of people) to stay victims, luring their FOLLOWERS (sheep) into being imprisoned by the STATE, and making them dependent on what these BLACK LEADERS and the Democrat party "say" they are doing for their FOLLOWERS of said ideology?
“Any Government big enough to give you everything you need is a Government big enough to take everything you have.” When we forget that quote, we, as a nation are doomed! This is a fact.
I don't know about some you out there, but when those I allow to represent me in ANY way, develops a poor performance record, relentlessly embarrasses with egregious public behavior and acts that counter what we’ve been promised in the Constitution, and fails to make America’s situation better; I do the AMERICAN thing, and “LEAD MYSELF,” and to hell with the clowns that fail me and MY American Independence. What I've described is TRUE independence, and the act of TRUE Americanism, which is one of the few ‘ISMs I approve of.
I openly revolt both the democrat and republican ESTABLISHMENTS, and vote for the lesser of the two evils who most-“closely” represents my beliefs about America. These are the unfortunate facts about the system as it is right now, but it beats the hell out of ALL the other ones, PAST and PRESENT.
If the Republicans will ever live up to their ORIGINAL "Abe Lincoln-like" principles and values I would blankly defend the "establishment", but I clearly don't, and most likely never will endorse everything they say in Washington (the real sin-city). I will never stop questioning ANY leadership and their associations, as well as their performance record. I blindly follow NO ONE. I'm one of those who questions so-called Authority at every turn, even mine, and look at the big picture, but I'm not afraid to dig in the details for close examination of how things work and how they DON'T work.
Back on the Trayvon case; I feel for his parents and pray for healing in their hearts and minds over this matter, as I do for any parent of challenging situations such as Trayvon. But the authorities need to be allowed to do their jobs. Mobs are not the answer to ANYTHING.
Blaming Zimmerman for being in the vicinity sounds like gun controlling, nanny-state, liberal-thinking to me. Let’s use out heads… If that's how we logically measure things these days, I guess it was the fault of that new mother, for being in the Walmart parking lot, who was strapping her young baby into the car seat, and her fault that she was shot 7 times in the chest and run over, because a violent BLACK woman wanted this woman's WHITE baby. Where are the RACE police on that? Nowhere!! Why? Because RACE had nothing to do with it, that’s why. It would be as idiotic and irrational to say this was a RACE crime. It’s the same for the Trayvon Martin case.
Travon was shot because HE assaulted a man who legally had a gun in his possession for self-defense. So I will issue a warning to anyone who wishes to bash my head into the concrete, which is justifiably a LIFE-THREATENING assault; if I’m carrying, you will indeed be shot, IF I can’t over-power you. Just sayin’… All that being said, I’d rather we all just hug and be friends and throw all that anger, hate and division out the window. What do ya say? Care to join me?
